Before they hit the Oscars on Sunday evening, some of our favorite black girls took time to pose with a purpose. Kerry Washington, Tracee Ellis Ross, Gabrielle Union, and Ava DuVernay posed in Trayvon Martin hoodies to help honor the 5th anniversary of the teenager’s death.
“5 years later our hoodies are still up because the movement is still strong! #OurSonTrayvon SUPPORT THE FOUNDATION & GET THE HOODIE,” Washington captioned her photo, also sharing a link to purchase the sweatshirt.
Ava DuVernay honored Martin before arriving at the Academy Awards:
“On my way to #Oscars. Taking a moment to remember #TrayvonMartin. Our hoodies are still up and the movement is still strong. #OurSonTrayvon.”
The hoodies help support the Trayvon Martin Foundation.
