New Black Panther posters released with Chadwick Boseman, Forest Whitaker, Lupita Nyong’o, and Angela Bassett.
In a recent interview, Chadwick Boseman who portrays, T’Challa in Black Panther, explains why he doesn’t speak with his English accent in the movie:
If I did that, I would be conveying a white supremacist idea of what being educated is and what being royal or presidential is.
New poster for Forest Whitaker as Zuri.
Angela Bassett as Ramonda, the queen of the hidden progressive country, and mother to T’Challa, played by Chadwick Boseman.
Lupita Nyong’o as Nakia.
To maintain a balance of power, the Wakandan Dora Milaje (aka the Adored One and wives-in-training) is chosen from rival tribes. In the case of Nakia, Q’Noma Valley tribal elders selected her to be Milaje.
After spending several years in training, she presented to King T’Challa. And like a lovesick teenager that she was, she instantly fell for him. However, T’Challa told her and the rest of highly-skilled female bodyguards that he viewed them more like daughters than wives-in-training.
Black Panther is in theaters Feb. 16th, 2018 and we can’t wait!
