Michelle Obama is making her way back into the public eye, the former first lady will make a guest appearance on Master Chef Junior later this month according to reports.
The show, which just started its new season last week, is a cooking competition for children aged 8-13 and will have various guest appearances throughout the season as it looks to replace Chef Graham Elliot. In addition to the former First Lady, Martha Stewart and the Muppets are also expected to make appearances.
This won’t be Mrs. Obama’s first appearance on a cooking show: she has also appeared in Iron Chef America, Rachael Ray, and Barefoot Contessa with Ina Garten.
As first lady, Mrs. Obama’s championed healthy eating for children. Her national initiative “Let’s Move” aims to solve the problem of obesity and allow children to “grow up healthier and able to pursue their dreams,” according to the Let’s Move website.
