[LISTEN]Kierra Sheard “Don’t Judge Me” Ft. Missy Elliott

Kierra Sheard just dropped new music with Hip Hop Icon Missy Misdemeanor Elliott and a video to go along with the song “Don’t Judge Me.”

“Don’t Judge Me” debuts five years since her last studio album, Graceland, which earned her multiple nominations at the 2015 Stellar Awards and debuted at #1 on Billboard’s and iTunes’ Gospel Albums charts. Produced by Harmony “H-Money” Samuels and written by Kierra Sheard, Missy Elliott, Edgar “JV” Etienne, and Varren Wade, “Don’t Judge Me” acknowledges that all of us make mistakes and are imperfect. Throughout the video, Kierra highlights her most vulnerable moments which have happened in the public eye.

In addition to the release of her new singles, Kierra recently co-wrote and is featured on Chance The Rapper’s single “I Got You (Always and Forever)” along with En Vogue and Ari Lennox. Kierra will roll out more music the coming months in partnership with RCA Inspiration, ad will be recording a live-version of her upcoming album Kierra, in Detroit on September 13th, at her father Bishop J. Drew Sheard’s church, Greater Emmanuel Institutional COGIC. Kierra is slated for release in 2020.

Outside of music, Kierra continues to pursue her acting career as she portrays the role of her mother, Karen Clark Sheard, in the upcoming Lifetime Biopic, “The Clark Sisters: First Ladies of Gospel”, slated for January 2020. “Don’t Judge Me” featuring Missy Elliott is available now.

Jamal Bryant & Gizelle Bryant Are Not “Officially Back Together”

Word on the street is everyone is rooting for Pastor Jamal Bryant and ex wife Gizelle Bryant to get back together.

The cheering squad was formed after the RHOP star and their three daughters visited New Birth in Atlanta a couple of times where Dr. Bryant now pastors.

But… Gizelle Bryant recently shared on WWHL that the former couple are really close, but are not officially back together.

“We’re very close. We have a great relationship. We’re great,” the former first lady explained. “But we’re not officially back together or anything like that. But we are great friends.”

The former couple was married 8 years and have three daughters, Grace and twins Angel and Adore.

Q Parker Teams Up With Our Fav Male Gospel Artists For ‘The Bridge Project’

Q Parker not only has signed with E One Nashville, the member of R&B group 112 is gearing up to release a collaboration album with some of our favorite male Gospel singers.

The Bridge Project, is an urban-inspirational compilation album of R&B singers and gospel artists and is due to drop this fall.

The Bridge Project tears the walls down and tells you these artist can coexist,” Q Parker shared during an interview with Praise 102.5

Deitrick Haddon, Todd Dulaney, Brian Courtney Wilson, Zebulon Ellis, Jonathan McReynolds, Travis Greene, and Tim Rogers are some of the men of Gospel who have joined Parker for this project.

“I am extremely excited for this new venture with eOne and Nashville label VP/GM Gina Miller. This team has unmatched synergy with my team. They understand the Q Parker brand and musical direction with intentional purpose! I look forward to sharing new music soon with my fans!,” Parker shared.

Support Cyntoia Brown’s GoFundMe ‘Second Chance Fund’

Sex-trafficking victim Cyntoia Brown, needs our help!

On Wednesday, August 7, 2019, Cyntoia Brown, now 31 was released from the Tennessee Prison for Women in northwest Nashville after being convicted of first-degree murder in 2004 at age 16.

While asking for financial help was not Cyntoia’s intent or interest, to help jump-start her new life while on parole for the next 10 years, a GoFundMe ‘Second Chance Fund’ is available for those that would like to financially contribute.

To ensure all donations are protected and securely placed into a trust fund established for Cyntoia’s use and direction, her representatives, Nashville based firm Bone McAllester Norton PLLC are managing the GoFundMe financial contributions to ensure all funds are withdrawn securely and placed into a trust fund.

Cyntoia appreciates your support and is continuing to focus her efforts on finishing her Bachelor’s degree from Lipscomb University and her upcoming book.

Lauren Daigle Releases”Rescue” Official Music Video

Lauren Daigle has released the official music video for ‘Rescue.’

The video was filmed over two days on Knik Glacier in Alaska, which can only be accessed by jet or airboat.

“‘Rescue’ is probably the most personal song from Look Up Child,” Lauren Daigle, said in a statement to PEOPLE. “It was written for someone very close to me who was going through a difficult time. I wanted something that would comfort them in their time of need. That’s the purpose of the song, to give hope to people who feel lost.”

Jay Z & Will Smith Team Up For Series About The Women Of The Movement

Jay Z and Will Smith team up for new anthology series about the movement.

According to Deadline, the new series is tentatively titled Women Of The Movement, which is based on women who were prominent during the Civil Rights Movement.

The first eight-episode season of the show is inspired by the book Emmitt Till: The Murder That Shocked the World and Propelled the Civil Rights Movement by Devery S. Anderson.

It will center on Emmett Till’s mother, Mamie Till, who devoted her life to seeking justice in her son’s name following his brutal murder in the Jim Crow South.

Jay Z and Will Smith will serve as executive producers alongside Jay Brown, Tyran “Ty Ty” Smith, James Lassiter of Overbrook Entertainment, Aaron Kaplan and Dana Honor from Kapital Entertainment, among others.

The series is expected to air on ABC when it premieres.


Shirley Caesar will take the stage this Sunday on BET’s Sunday Best.

This Sunday the top 4 Season 9 hopefuls take viewers back to where it all began…the church! Each contestant will travel to a local church to lead praise and worship, then perform a traditional hymn live on stage. + Mother Shirley Caesar who’s performing will also sit in as a guest judge.

Last week LeAndria Johnson and Donald Lawrence along with the Tri City Singers performed “Delivered Me” and LeAndria song her face off!!

Yolanda Adams Receiving ‘Gospel Music Icon Award’ At Black Music Honors

The 2019 Black Music Honors are headed to Atlanta, and this year Gospel music superstar Yolanda Adams is being honored with the Gospel Music Icon Award.

Yolanda Adams recently revealed on Linda Lorelle “Our Voices Matter” podcast that she’s working on new music. She also just released a handbag line and Bath and Body line.

This years show is set to take place on Thursday, September 5th in Atlanta, GA. (the event used to be held in Nashville).

The honorees also include Xscape who will receive the Urban Music Icon Award for the platinum selling quartet group’s 25 years in the industry.  Culturally-conscience eclectic group, Arrested Development and chart-topping crooner, Freddie Jackson, whose career has spanned over 33 years, will also be honored.

Television and radio personality Rickey Smiley and GRAMMY® Award-winner and actress LeToya Luckett return as co-hosts of the show, which is set to air in broadcast syndication Sept. 14 – October 20, 2019.

The epic event will be held at The Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre in Atlanta, GA.

#NationalGirlfriendsDay Girlfriends Marathon Airing On TV One!

To honor National Girlfriends Day, TV One is airing a Girlfriends marathon all day today.

The marathon features fan favorite episodes and air from 6 A.M. to 6 P.M./5C. ( I wonder if they’ll air the episode when Toni get’s married?…my fav! and that Reem Acra dress was FIRE!)
