The Jordan Brand unveiled today (Friday) 8 All Star weekend jersey’s that represent the eight transit lines that run throughout the city of Chicago.
The eight lines of the train match the number of uniforms seen on court during NBA All-Star 2020. With that in mind, designers incorporated the color of each track into the uniforms as a base: blue and red for the NBA All-Star Game; purple and orange for NBA Rising Stars; green and pink for the NBA All-Star Celebrity Game presented by Ruffles; and brown and yellow for the NBA Cares Special Olympics Unified Basketball Game.
The uniforms also have the six-pointed star from the Chicago flag as the symbolic refrain while inviting the attitude of the ‘90s-era alternate uniforms worn by the hometown Bulls.
I finally got the opportunity to binge watch the Netflix series Virgin River and I’m obsessed! It’s based upon the novel of the same name from Robyn Carr.
It’s centered around Melinda “Mel” Monroe (Alexandra Breckenridge), who answers an ad to work as a midwife and nurse practitioner in the country town of Virgin River, thinking it will be the perfect place to start fresh and leave her painful memories of losing her husband and not being able to have kids behind in the big city. But she soon discovers that small-town living isn’t quite as simple as she expected. She meets and falls for the towns hero Jack (Martin Henderson) and he falls for her, even though he has a “casual” someone in his life.
The whirlwind 10 episode series ends with Mel in tears as she packs her bags to head back home after finding out that Jack’s ex “casual” someone is now pregnant with his child.
First the news that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were leaving the Royal family and now Peter Morgan has announced that Netflix The Crown will be ending after season 5.
It was the “perfect time and place to stop.”
“At the outset I had imagined The Crown running for six seasons but now that we have begun work on the stories for season five it has become clear to me that this is the perfect time and place to stop,” said Morgan to THR. “I’m grateful to Netflix and Sony for supporting me in this decision.”
Along with announcing the end of the series, he also announced that English actress Imelda Staunton will play the final Queen.
Morgan added that he was “absolutely thrilled” that Staunton — a British stage and screen icon with a career spanning four decades, five Olivier awards, a BAFTA award and an Oscar nomination (for 2004’s Vera Drake) — would be “taking The Crown into the 21st Century.”
Now I’m wondering how they will end the series. Will it end with the tragic death of Princess Diana or with the marriage of Prince Charles and Camilla Parker Bowles?
The cast of the Warner Bros. film BIRDS OF PREY (AND THE FANTABULOUS EMANCIPATION OF ONE HARLEY QUINN) hosted “A Night of Music and Mayhem in Harleywood.”
Jurnee Smollett-Bell, Doja Cat, Megan Thee Stallion, and Charlotte Lawrence were all on hand for the festivities that went down at Harleywood & Vine, near the historic TCL Chinese Theatre.
The Hollywood & Highland Center was reimagined with inspiration from the movies lead character Harley Quinn.
You ever hear the one about the cop, the songbird, the psycho and the mafia princess? “Birds of Prey (And the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn)” is a twisted tale told by Harley herself, as only Harley can tell it. When Gotham’s most nefariously narcissistic villain, Roman Sionis, and his zealous right-hand, Zsasz, put a target on a young girl named Cass, the city is turned upside down looking for her. Harley, Huntress, Black Canary and Renee Montoya’s paths collide, and the unlikely foursome have no choice but to team up to take Roman down.
In the Warner Bros. Pictures film, Margot Robbie returns as Harley Quinn, alongside Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Huntress; Jurnee Smollett-Bell as Black Canary; Rosie Perez as Renee Montoya; Chris Messina as Victor Zsasz; and Ewan McGregor as Roman Sionis. Newcomer Ella Jay Basco also stars as Cassandra “Cass” Cain in her feature film debut.
The upcoming Warner Bros. film The Batman starring Robert Pattison as Gotham City’s vigilante detective, Batman, and billionaire Bruce Wayne has begun filming.
Starring alongside Pattinson as Gotham’s famous and infamous cast of characters are Zoë Kravitz as Selina Kyle; Paul Dano as Edward Nashton; Jeffrey Wright as the GCPD’s James Gordon; John Turturro as Carmine Falcone; Peter Sarsgaard as Gotham D.A. Gil Colson; Jayme Lawson as mayoral candidate Bella Reál; with Andy Serkis as Alfred; and Colin Farrell as Oswald Cobblepot.
Based on characters from DC, opening date is set for June 25, 2021 and will be distributed worldwide by Warner Bros. Pictures.

In the upcoming Burden movie, Forest Whitaker stars as a preacher who decides to take a former KKK member (Garrett Hedlund) under his wing to ensure that the young man’s family is safe from his former friends that now want to do him harm.
Dramatic true story of compassion and grace in the American South.
Here’s the synopsis:
When a museum celebrating the Ku Klux Klan opens in a small South Carolina town, the idealistic Reverend Kennedy ( Whitaker) resolves to do everything in his power to prevent long-simmering racial tensions from boiling over. But the members of Kennedy’s congregation are shocked to discover that his plan includes sheltering Mike Burden (Hedlund), a Klansman whose relationships with both a single-mother (Andrea Riseborough) and a high-school friend (Usher Raymond) force him to re-examine his long-held beliefs. After Kennedy helps Mike leave behind his violent past, the Baptist preacher finds himself on a collision course with manipulative KKK leader Tom Griffin (Tom Wilkinson). In the face of grave threats to himself and his family, the resolute Kennedy bravely pursues a path toward peace, setting aside his own misgivings in the hopes of healing his wounded community.

They were our beautiful blessings taken from us too soon.
I’m not sure what our lives hold beyond today, and it’s impossible to imagine life without them. But we wake up each day, trying to keep pushing because Kobe, and our baby girl, Gigi, are shining on us to light the way.
My girls and I want to thank the millions of people who’ve shown support and love during this horrific time. Thank you for all the prayers. We definitely need them. We are completely devastated by the sudden loss of my adoring husband, Kobe — the amazing father of our children; and my beautiful, sweet Gianna — a loving, thoughtful, and wonderful daughter, and amazing sister to Natalia, Bianka, and Capri. We are also devastated for the families who lost their loved ones on Sunday, and we share in their grief intimately.
Vanessa also shared that mourners can donate to the MambaOnThree Fund to help support the families affected by the tragedy, and/or to help further Kobe and Gianna’s legacy in youth sports you can visit MambaSportsFoundation.org.
