Senator Amy Klobuchar and Stacey Abrams have teamed up to promote vote-by-mail push.
The initiative would make it easier to vote by mail, register online and expand early voting, as states race to figure out how they can hold elections amid the Covid-19 pandemic.
Sen.Klobuchar, and Abrams made the announcement in a 3 minute video through Abrams Fair Fight Action organization, which works to promote fair elections in Georgia and around the country and encourages voter participation.
Klobuchar is a lead sponsor of legislation introduced last month seeking to protect voting rights during the coronavirus pandemic by implementing vote-by-mail and expanding early voting nationwide for November.
Former first lady Michelle Obama’s organization “When We All Vote” formally announced support for Klobuchar’s vote-by-mail bill on Monday.
