By R&B legend, Anita Baker is being honored during Sunday’s BET Awards.
The network announced on Thursday that the singer, who is out on her farewell tour, will be honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award.

Anita grew up with a love for singing. Raised by her aunt, Baker quickly found her sound in the church and also performed in local nightclubs.
The legendary singer has received multiple accolades for her work, and in 2005 bequeathed an honorary Doctor of Music degree from Berklee College of Music.
Throughout time, Baker’s music has resonated with audiences of all ages and races alike. Baker continues to be one of the most legendary artists of all time.
