The FBI and Secret Service responded on Tuesday after mysterious white powder was delivered to former President Barack Obama’s D.C. office.
According to the New York Post, Secret Service, FBI, fire crews and police swarmed the World Wildlife Fund Headquarters, where Barack Obama has leased an office since leaving the White House in January 2017. The letter arrived from Hong Kong and officials found a white substance inside upon opening it.
According to Fox5, the white substance in the envelope was later found to be baby powder.
The Obama family lives in D.C.’s Kalorama neighborhood, not far from the office building. It is unclear if the former president was in the office when the incident was reported.
