Let’s keep Bishop Larry Trotter lifted in prayer.
According to spokesman Sean Howard, Bishop Trotter has tested positive for the Coronavirus.
The Pastor of Sweet Holy Spirit Chicago revealed the news on Monday evening during a Zoom call with his church leadership.
He told ABC7 News that he contracted the deadly virus from a niece who was visiting from Florida.
One of my niece tested positive last week and I was having a bad cough so I thought I should go get tested,” Bishop Trotter said.
He says his niece, along with several other relatives visiting from Florida, were at his home in the last seven days. Florida is one of the states that has seen a spike in cases since reopening.
“I’m thinking I was probably more relaxed while I was at home,” Trotter said. “Whenever you’re at home you don’t think about keeping your mask on the whole time.”
Trotter, who is a 63-year-old prostate cancer survivor, is in good spirits and says he is taking antibiotics and quarantining in his home.
