SheaMoisture unveils “It Comes Naturally” a new brand campaign created by a powerhouse team of Black artists and multicultural creatives that conveys the essence of Black women and is an unapologetic portrayal of a shared experience of resilience and creativity.

In tandem with the campaign, the beauty brand also announces a new, unprecedented pledge to commit proceeds from products sold as an investment dedicated to helping realize the dreams of Black women entrepreneurs.

Set against both a global social justice movement and a moment of transformative cultural change, It Comes Naturally is a forward-looking celebration of Black identity. Six Black female artists – Monica Ahanonu, Rachelle Baker, Bisa Butler, Alexis Eke, Linda Mawala, and Reyna Noriega – were commissioned to create a distinctive and stirring campaign that brings to life the stories, legacy, and heritage carried by Black women through generations. Portrayed beautifully in rich illustrations, these women are everything their ancestors envisioned, and everything the future needs – naturally.

Women In Stem Are The New Faces Of Olay

In an effort to help close the STEM gender gap, Olay is kicking off its #FacetheSTEMGap campaign, a decade-long commitment to support women in STEM.

Over the next 10 years, the brand will strive to achieve gender equality in STEM study programs, double the number of women in STEM careers, and increase diversity and inclusion by tripling the number of BIPOC women in STEM fields, according to a press release.

Olay’s first step in reaching those goals: a $520,000 donation to the United Negro College Fund (UNCF), which provides scholarship, internship, and fellowship programs and financial support to Black American college students.

In addition to pledging financial support to the UNCF, the beauty brand is also showcasing women who are already kicking butt in their respective STEM fields. As part of its #FacetheSTEMGap campaign, the brand is swapping out models in Olay advertisements and featuring “role models” — aka real women in STEM — instead.

Jennifer Lopez Finally Launching Beauty Collection

Growing up my girls and I wanted to get that J.Lo glow. From her perfect lip to that bronzy look her face always gave off on the red carpet… we wanted it!

So I was excited when Jennifer Lopez announced on social media that she is launching a beauty line JLo Beauty.

Sunset glow… #JLoBeauty coming soon

Is it a skincare line or makeup line or is it both? Well, she hasn’t made that clear yet.

According to Allure, the trademark for JLo Beauty was filed in December 2019, and it reads as a catch-all for virtually every kind of skin-care product (it lists “skin moisturizers, skin cleansers, skin creams, non-medicated skin-care preparations, cosmetic creams for skin care; beauty creams, beauty soaps, beauty bars, beauty gels, beauty lotions, beauty masks; skin-care products, namely, non-medicated skin serums; body and beauty care cosmetics; face and body beauty creams). However, from the look of the selfies, it seems there may very well be makeup involved, too. I guess we will have to wait and see.
