Magestic Life Church Pastor Riva Tims remarried over the weekend ya’ll.

Riva Tims Remarried

Pastor Tims married businessman and author Robert J. Watkins in a private ceremony with a “Grand Celebration” planned for May 2022.

Riva Tims Remarried

I am so happy for her. I don’t know if ya’ll remember her story. She was married to Pastor Zachery Tims whom she divorced in 2008 due to his alleged “multiple and repeated extramarital sexual affairs.” He then died from a drug overdose (According to reports) at the W Hotel in NYC on Aug. 12, 2011. Together they started the New Destiny Christian Center in Florida and grew it to about 7500 members. After his death Riva tried to regain control of the church, but the board wanted Paula White. She then wrote a book “When It All Falls Apart,” where she reveals her struggles and triumphs of rebuilding her life after death and divorce. That book is still on my personal top 10 list!

Riva is now truly living a majestic life!

On NBC Today, Hillsong founder Brian Houston admitted to Savannah Guthrie that the global religious organization has a celebrity culture.

Hillsong founder Brian Houston

During the segment Savannah questioned him about former Pastor Carl Lentz, who was fired for cheating on his wife. Lentz has a strong celebrity following and many felt that he wasn’t being held accountable because of that…

“I think there’s a lot of things I should’ve known earlier, and hopefully, moving forward, we’ll make sure we have far better systems in place and better accountability,” he shared with Savannah.

He also admitted to the celebrity culture seen at Hillsong, where A-list stars were given better treatment than regular churchgoers.

“I do think that we did allow a culture to develop where it was one rule for celebrities and a different rule for other people,” Houston explained. “There’s another side to it.”

“One person who’s obviously been well reported is Justin Bieber,” he said. “If you think back several years now, when he was wrecking hotel rooms and basically on the edge of getting deported to Canada … look at Justin Bieber today. Anyone who’s being fair could see a radical change, and so not everything about it is bad.”

Hillsong is known for having a lot of celebrity parishioners, most notably Justin and Hailey Bieber, Kevin Durant, Selena Gomez, and the Kardashian/Jenner crew.

On another note I’m still praying for healing and complete restoration for Carl and Laura Lentz and their children.

With the assistance of Hollywood actors, social justice advocates, Christian communities and mainstream media personalities, youth organizations are now bringing young people to see the film.

The film’s synopsis:

Chicago: America’s Hidden War pulls back the curtain to expose the pervasive genocidal-like behavior, explain what birthed and contributed to this war and why so little is done to stop it, and ultimately inspires a clear path toward change.”

The film’s first goal is to expose the systemic, genocidal behavior in Chicago’s gang wars. The second goal is to help build a better future for Chicago’s children by inspiring and uplifting young people by improving their mental and physical well-being.

The film includes eyewitness testimony from ministers, gang members, and children, some of whom shared that they only feel safe “in school and in church.”
