Disney’s Frozen 2 has started off the new year with some awesome news!
The studio has reported that the film is now the highest grossing animated release globally of all time with estimated earnings at $1.325 billion, beating records set by its predecessor Frozen ($1.281 billion) and Incredibles 2 ($1.243 billion). This also makes Disney Animation/Pixar the studio with all top three animated films ever released, according to Entertainment Weekly.
Featuring the voices of Idina Menzel, Kristen Bell, Jonathan Groff , Josh Gad, and Sterling K. Brown, the Walt Disney Animation Studios’ film is a follow-up to the hit 2013 film about a fearless princess who sets out to rescue her estranged sister whose powers are trapped by eternal winter. The popular sequel picks up three years after the events of the first film that sees the siblings head out on a whole new icy adventure with some of their closest friends.
