I was obsessed with Dr. Jill Biden’s style when she was the 2nd Lady of the United States, so I couldn’t wait to see what she would wear as First Lady.
Saturday night after the networks finally called the Presidential election and announced that former VP Joe Biden was now President Elect, the world got to see Dr. Jill in her first look as First Lady of these United States of America. *I couldn’t wait to say those words, this has been a very depressing four years*
Dr. Jill wore an asymmetric floral dress by Oscar de la Renta, coral kitten heels, minimal jewelry, and the accessory of 2020, a simple black mask for her first appearance as Future First Lady.
Her dress choice is notable because it was designed by Fernando Garcia and Laura Kim, both immigrants to the United States who trained under Oscar de la Renta (himself an immigrant from the Dominican Republic). Garcia and Kim took over the label in 2016, according to Vogue.
Reminds you of her friend Michelle Obama who also made conscious wardrobe choices.
