Singer Bruce Williamson who once was the lead singer of the Temptations has died from COVID-19. He was 49.
According to reports, The soul singer died Sunday night at his home in Las Vegas.
TMZ reported that Williamson’s son posted a tribute to his late father, who had been battling the life threatening virus.
“There’s no words in the world that can express how I feel right now I love you Daddy thank you for being awesome thank you for being loving thank you for being Who You Are I pray to God and we will meet again. I love you Daddy R.I.H KING WILLIAMSON,” he wrote.
Although he never completely abandoned his church roots, Williamson’s trajectory was altered by a life-changing encounter with a late music industry insider — who set him on a path to become part of the legendary Temptations.
Bruce became a Temptation back in 2006 and sang with the group until 2015.
