The Friends Reunion special won’t be ready for the launch of HBO Max in May as originally intended.
According to reports, production was set to begin on March 23 and 24, but was suspended amid the coronavirus pandemic.
The reunion special, which will feature behind-the-scenes footage from the 10 seasons, is still planned though it’s unclear when it can be filmed.
The entire cast was to reunite on the show’s Warner Bros. set for a retrospective to help kick off the new streaming service.
Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry and David Schwimmer will executive produce the special.
No new filming date has been announced.
