Netflix continues it’s commitment to celebrating black actors in Hollywood with the announcement that they’ve acquired shows like Girlfriends and Sister Sister.
As part of its Strong Black Lead push, the streaming service has also bought the rights to Moesha, The Game, One on One and Half & Half.
According to reports, Moesha will start streaming on August 1, followed by the first three seasons of The Game on August 15. Sister Sister arrives on September 1, with Girlfriends launching on September 11 to mark the 20th anniversary of its premiere. The Parkers debuts on October 1, followed by Half & Half, and One on One on October 15.
Ya’ll don’t know how excited I am about this news, I need a little Toni Childs and Joan in my life!
