Gladys Knight Singing National Anthem At Super Bowl LIII

The Emperess of Soul will be singing the National Anthem at this year’s Super Bowl when it goes down in Atlanta on Sunday, Feb. 3rd.

“I am proud to use my voice to unite and represent our country in my hometown of Atlanta,” Knight said in a statement. “The NFL recently announced their new social justice platform Inspire Change, and I am honored to be a part of its inaugural year.”

The NFL Inspire Change initiative focuses on three priority areas:

» Education and economic advancement

» Police and community relations

» Criminal justice reform.
