The Voice Kyla Jade Emotional Performance Of “This Is Me”

On Monday night, The Voice Top 8,  Kyla Jade, gave an emotional performance of “This Is Me” from the Greatest Showman movie.  Before her performance, Kyla shared with coach Blake Shelton, her inspiration for singing the song came from dealing with insecurities as a little girl, and an experience with a social media troll.

“I had a guy say, ‘She has a great voice, but I could never look at her in concert!’ on social media,” Kyla, who use to sing with the Nashville Super Choir on Bobby Jones Gospel, told Shelton.

“I always go back to baby Kyla, the insecure, self-conscious young girl,” she said. “I never felt pretty, so if I can help another girl to realize that she is amazing, then I’ve done what I need to do.”
