Since my team of choice (Chicago Bears) didn’t make it to the Super Bowl, I was focused on being entertained by J.Lo and Shakira’s halftime show and the Super Bowl commercials.
When we #MakeSpaceForWomen we make space for everyone.
For me, hands down OLAY Make Space For Women won the night with their Girl Power campaign that focuses on Girls Who Code.
The ad features renowned reporter Katie Couric, astronaut Nicole Stott, YouTube personality Lilly Singh, comedian Busy Philipps, and actress Taraji P. Henson who portrays Mission Control in the ad (of course a play on her iconic role in the award winning Hidden Figures movie).
In the epic Girl Power! commercial, the ladies join astronaut Stott’s crew to promote Olay’s Super Bowl LIV space mission to donate up to $500,000 to Girls Who Code.
With every mention of #MakeSpaceForWomen on twitter, the beauty brand will donate $1 (up to $500,000) to Girls Who Code, an organization that teaches girls how to solve problems, build community and even make robots dance.
