Oprah Winfrey, who use to call Chicago home, is saying goodbye by putting her last piece of Windy City real estate up for sale. It’s a four-bedroom Colonial in the Elmwood Park suburb, currently listed for $400,000, according to the Chicago Tribune.
Oprah never lived in the all-brick house, which is in the River Forest Manor section of Elmwood Park, and it’s not known what her use for it was. But the listing of the house, which Winfrey purchased in 2001 for $298,000, comes after Winfrey has concluded the sale of all of her other homes in or near Chicago, including a four-unit duplex in Water Tower Place that she sold last year for $4.625 million and a never-occupied co-op unit on East Lake Shore Drive in the Gold Coast neighborhood that she sold in 2012 for $2.8 million.
Nicole Nichols, a spokeswoman for Oprah, confirmed that “Ms. Winfrey is selling the property as it’s no longer needed. She did not live in the home.”
