Journey guitarist, Jonathan Cain, who married pastor Paula White last year is prepping to release his first Christian album, What God Wants To Hear. Cain, who wrote Journey’s hit song, Don’t Stop Believin’ credits his new bride with leading him to follow in the mind of Christ.
When the CP asked Cain how has his wife Paula White played a role in his ministry, he explained that since their wedding he hasn’t been more excited to write songs of thanksgiving and love from his heart to the Holy Spirit.
Since our wedding, I have never been happier and started to write songs of thanksgiving and love from my heart to the Holy Spirit. Once it began, it has been a steady flow of lyrics and melody, I have been obedient. I continue to steward what He has given to me for such a time as this.
Paula never pestered me, but has been instrumental in leading me to necessary scriptures that helped complete many of my songs. She is transparent and apostolic with her faith and has led me to follow in the mind of Christ. Something I had not been consistently doing. I guess God has a sense of humor, when he had a man that wanted to start his life as a priest, end up marrying a preacher.
