R. Kelly recently did an interview with GQ magazine, and during the interview Kelly was asked about the Bill Cosby sexual assault allegations that are in the media. Kelly said God would have to show him that the comedians accusers were telling the truth.
“If God showed me that they were telling the truth, I would say that’s wrong. I don’t care if it was a zillion years ago,” Kelly told GQ. “But God would have to do that, because God is the only one can show me that. When you wait 70 years, 50 years, 40 years, to say something that simple, it’s strange. You know why I say that is because it happened to me, and it wasn’t true.”
In other Bill Cosby news, the comedian had a legal victory last week when, according to CNN, a federal judge in Pennsylvania granted a Cosby’s request to dismiss a defamation lawsuit brought by Renita Hill, one of the dozens of women who’ve accused Cosby of raping them. In 2014, Hill claimed that Bill Cosby drugged and raped her repeatedly over a four-year period. As compensation, Hill said that Bill Cosby paid her college tuition and travel expenses so that she could visit him while he traveled for work. According to Hill, she was 16 years old when the sexual assaults began.
