The publication was thinking the same thing we were…. That Serena Williams and the Reddit co-founder had a wedding fit for royalty.
“I flew to London to meet with Sarah and ended up falling in love with the ball-gown silhouette, which is completely the opposite of what I ever thought I would choose for myself,” Serena told Brides of the above Alexander McQueen gown she wore for her walk down the aisle.
This @donatella_versace @versace_official was a dream come true. The cape- well I needed a cape. My two dresses was the best dress I've ever worn This is on new stands now. I still am hoping someone invents a time machine so I can relive the wedding. (And eat the beignets) thank you @brides and I love you @donatella_versace photography @melbarlowandco @allanzepedaphotography
With her Grand Slam of a wedding, Serena was the natural choice to be our February/March 2018 cover star.
Inside the publication, they reveal that they shot Serena’s cover(s) on her wedding day. That’s right, in between saying I do, the tennis star was posing for her Brides cover!
And yes, you read that right…Serena posed for two covers for the publication. On one cover she’s wearing her Alexander McQueen gown, and the other cover shows Serena in her Versace gown. The Versace gown was her 2nd dress change during her Beauty and The Beast themed wedding.
The Feb/March issue of Brides should be on newsstands now.
