Meek Mill‘s lawyers filed a motion to get him out of prison on bail, but the request was denied by the State Superior Court of Pennsylvania. The courts did, however, direct the lower court to act “without delay”
Mill’s attorneys contend Judge Genece Brinkley, who sentenced the musician refuses to respond to their post-sentencing appeals.
According to the AP, Meek’s attorneys asked that Judge Genece Brinkley step down from the case. They are alleging she has made the case “inappropriately personal” because she had yet to rule on his post-sentence motions.
On Tuesday a Pennsylvania Superior Court denied the 147-page emergency motion for bail, saying, “applications relating to bail…shall first be presented to the lower court,” but ordered Judge Brinkley to act “without further delay.”
