The Real co-host Adrienne Bailon Houghton Bel Air home aka “Chateau Houghton” was already decorated with pretty and sparkly things. Now Adrienne, who shares her home with husband, Gospel music superstar Israel Houghton has teamed up with HomeGoods to up the sparkle for the Christmas holiday and PEOPLE magazine got a peek inside.
“I think it’s about finding one decorative piece that helps you get inspired for the rest of it,” she advises those hoping to emulate her elegant take on the holidays. “Each room has a different focal point. The possibilities are endless in HomeGoods.”
She revealed to the publication that she has four or five Christmas trees in her home, with a rose gold tree in one of her bedrooms.
“I went a little bit overboard with the Christmas trees. I found so many good ones that I think right now I’ve got four or five around the house, which I absolutely love,” the talk show host shared.
Despite her dedication to decor, her favorite part of the holidays is a little simpler.
“Being with family,” she says. “I feel like I made my mom so proud this year with my decorations. So much of my family comes from out of town to stay with us here in our house. It just makes them feel so special to see that I’ve decorated and I want it to be an experience for them.”
When Adrienne Bailon and Gospel singer Israel Houghton started dating in 2016, rumors immediately started swirling that the singer was still married. Well, when Adrienne got wind of the rumor, she not only asked Israel, but she did a little investigating herself.
During Girl Chat on The Real, the talk show host shared with the ladies that she used the internet to get some clarity on the situation.
“Thank God for the Internet these days! Things get confusing and you get to clarify. Like me!” she said. “When I first started dating my husband, people thought he was married. That was a lie.”
“If you’re being real, you want to talk to the man and you’re like, ‘You got me out here looking crazy. Let me see the paperwork,’” she said. “Crazy thing is, he and his ex-wife actually filed under their initials and not under their names. So when Page Six and a lot of these other news outlets went to go look for divorce documents, they couldn’t find them because they were under their initials for privacy. Ha ha! But it was true!”
On The Real Daytime Monday, show co-host Adrienne Bailon- Houghton became emotional as she shared with her co-hosts the advice her dad (a Vietnam War Veteran) gave her regarding the NFL players taking a knee. Adrienne told the ladies that she talked to her dad before coming onto the stage, because she didn’t want to disrespect him or the military.
