Olivier Rousteing who produced the collection while in quarantine, told WWD that the new collection is steeped in Nineties pop-culture references like “Pretty Woman,” and Fresh Prince of Bel Air.

Keys revealed her reasoning for performing for the NFL despite racial issues in the league recently. The performance tied into an announcement that the league will be contributing to a new $1 billion endowment fund aimed at supporting Black businesses and communities.

“We are already seeing the blatant injustices that are going on around us,” Keys told Billboard. “As an artist, I’m always thinking about how can I use my platform to further racial equity. This fund is one of the answers and our goal is to empower Black America through investing in Black businesses, Black investors, institutions, entrepreneurs, schools and banks in a way to create sustainable solutions.”

Alicia Keys & Her Good Vibes Cover The July Issue Of Instyle Magazine

Alicia Keys is giving off nothing but good vibes in the July Issue of Instyle magazine, and I’m here for it!

In her cover shoot captured by her kids and husband Swizz Beatz, the girl is glowing inside and out.. That’s what having good vibes will do to ya! (pay attention negative folks).

On having to postpone her latest album ALICIA and tour.

Eventually we’ll see the value of “stripping away all the unnecessary things and really recognizing how much we need each other.” In the meantime, she adds, “the amount of sweatpants I’ve been wearing has been amazing.”

Keys, who has been on a journey of stripping away the stuff that doesn’t matter (makeup included) and embracing her authentic self since her pilgrimage to Egypt years ago, has been reflected in a lot of her “Girl Power” songs like “Brand New Me.”(My favorite!)

When asked if some of her rousing girl-power songs were written in part to convince herself of her own messaging, Keys says, “All of them! Truly. There hasn’t been one that I wrote because I actually believed it at the time. I needed to pull myself out of a rut or a place of confusion.”

As an adult, Keys has recognized the direct link between being kind to others and being kind to herself.

“I’m coming to the place now where I’m able to live more fully in my skin, my imperfections, my feelings, which are so hard to access,” she says. “Because we want to protect our heart, right? That’s what we’re all doing in some way. And I think my ability to access that place has brought a deeper connection to other people.”

One surprise along the way for Keys, who’s never been much into bling, was the realization that it’s good to enjoy nice stuff now and then. “I began to understand that my humility was sometimes a mask for self-worth issues,” she says. “I was saying, ‘Oh, I don’t need much! I only need a little bit and I’m fine.’ I was kind of cutting off my blessings.

GIRL ON FIRE: Alicia Keys Announces New Album “Alicia” & World Tour

Alicia Keys

Alicia Keys is getting ready to drop her 7th studio album “Alicia” in March and on Tuesday the two time Grammy host announced she’s heading out on a World Tour.

The tour opens June 5th in Dublin, Ireland, then the North American leg of the tour opens July 28th in Florida.

After the release of her album in March, Keys autobiography, More Myself: A Journey, comes out in the spring. Working on both was “the best therapy I ever had,” she told Billboard. “I ended up being able to see the moments that things shifted. When you’re living it, you’re not really reflecting on it.”

Check out Underdog featuring Ed Sheeran, which is the lead single from her upcoming 7th studio album.

“Some people may think of the word ‘underdog’ as a negative word, but I see it as a powerful word representing people who may be underestimated and yet still rise to the challenge and exceed expectations.”

Alicia Keys New Song “Blended Family” A True Testament Of Love, Growth & Healing [VIDEO]

R&B singer, Alicia Keys just released a visual for her new song “Blended Family” (What We Do For Love), and even though it’s not a gospel or christian song, I believe the words and the visuals are  what a lot of us Christians who have blended families need right now. The song/visuals are an ode to the hardships and the beauty of blended families.
