All I’m going to say is the Queen of Soul is smiling down on JHud ya’ll.

natural woman by aretha franklin

The girl is singing the mess out of Natural Woman by Aretha Franklin (You Make Me Feel).

Jennifer just dropped her version for the Respect soundtrack.

“Natural Woman” was penned by Carole King and Gerry Goffin (with some help from Atlantic Records’ Jerry Wexler), and featured on Franklin’s 1968 album, Lady Soul. Hudson’s version is presented as if it were a live performance, with a crowd roaring in the back. The girl had me asking,” who is she singing to?” Does J-Hud have a new boo she ain’t telling us about? Because the way girlfriend is sanging…… Somebody got her feeling good!

The Respect soundtrack is set to arrive on August 13th via Epic Records, the same day as the biopic.
