The sneaker brand released images of the iconic sneaker, which features the model’s signature white leather uppers paired with a cream-colored midsole, outsole and Swoosh detail along the sides. They also have red heart details on the outer-facing portions of the heel and are finished off with “Nike” red lettering on the tongue and color-coordinated accents throughout the heel counter.

The revamped romantic shoe will retail for $110 and is set to drop in February 2021, according to Footwear News.

Nike Will Recognize Juneteenth As An Official Paid Holiday

Nike CEO John Donahue sent an internal memo to his staff announcing that the company would recognize Juneteenth as a holiday for U.S. employees, according to Yahoo Finance. The footwear and apparel giant followed the announcements of tech companies Square and Twitter, who also made the declaration earlier this week.

Juneteenth, also known as Freedom Day, Jubilee Day, and Cel-Liberation Day, is an American holiday celebrated on June 19. It memorializes June 19, 1865, when Union general Gordon Granger read orders in Galveston, Texas, that all previously enslaved people in Texas were free.

The footwear brands remarks come as the company joins the ranks of other brands who have been asked to take corporate accountability in the fight against racism and white supremacy.

Nike offers workout app for free as COVID-19 keeps people indoors

NIKE is doing it’s part to help people stay active while having to stay at home during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The athletic brand dropped the subscription fee for its NTC Premium service that provides streaming workout videos, training programs and expert tips from trainers, the sportswear giant announced in a blog post. NTC Premium includes its Nike App, the Nike Running Club (NRC) app, the Nike Training Club (NTC) app, social channels, nike.com and its “Trained” podcast.

Within the NTC system, there is a library of more than 185 workouts ranging from 15 to 60 minutes. These span bodyweight-only sessions, yoga classes, targeted training programs (think abs, arms and glutes) and full-equipment workouts for all fitness levels.

Given Nike’s expertise, our history of listening to athletes and turning their insights into action, as well as our belief in movement, our focus continues to be to provide all athletes with the tools, motivation and affirmation to help fuel physical and mental health. While, right now, athletes may not be able to play together or before millions of fans, they can unite and stand for something bigger by staying home and playing for the world.
