“I have always believed in life after divorce, although there was a period of time when I wondered, I had doubts.” Knowles, 62, said. “You know, I was 59 years old and was so engrossed in my work. I was running the company, I was doing all these other things and working,” she continued.
Ms. Tina, who recently participated in the Merge Summit, where people of faith who are in the entertainment industry come together to educate, empower and inspire each other, went on to say that there was a time when she didn’t think she could meet someone.
“I just didn’t think that there was any way that I could meet someone,” said Tina, who was married from 1980 to 2011 to talent manager Mathew Knowles, the father of Beyoncé and Solange. “So I started by falling in love with myself again. That was really important,” she went on to say, which the live audience greeted with a round of applause.
