Tracee Ellis Ross is clearing up reports that she will take a smaller role on Black-ish if her pay isn’t brought up to co-star Anthony Anderson’s.
It all started when a “source” who attended a recent #TimesUp meeting said Tracee Ellis Ross (who is an advocate of the movement) pay on the hit ABC show was discussed at length.
During this meeting it was revealed that Ross gets paid way less than Anthony Anderson, who not only stars but executive produces the show.
The source shared with the Hollywood Reporter than Ross would take a lesser role on the show if her pay wasn’t brought up to Anderson’s.
“With negotiations for the fifth season ongoing, sources say Ellis Ross feels that if she isn’t brought up to Anderson’s level, she may opt to appear in fewer episodes to make up the disparity by guesting on another show.”
Well, the Black-ish star is saying not so! In a statement posted on social media, Ross states that those words and thoughts are NOT hers.
