Tyler Perry revealed Monday morning that some of Marvel’s Black Panther was filmed on one of his new stages at his Tyler Perry Studios in Atlanta.
Showing a pic of his new studios, that were completed last year, Perry captioned the picture “Welcome to Wakanda,” before sharing that some of the history making film was shot there.
“Welcome to Wakanda! You wanna talk about black history! These are the new stages at Tyler Perry Studios. And guess what the first film to shoot on one of the stages was?! #BlackPanther!!!”
Several locations around Atlanta were home to “Black Panther” sets, including the rock quarry at the Vulcan Materials Co. in Stockbridge, and Atlanta City Hall was the home for the United Nations scene, according to the Atlanta Journal Constitution.
Scenes from the film were also shot in Busan, South Korea, South Africa, Zambia, and Uganda.
