The Real talk show host, Tamera Mowry-Housley just gave birth to her daughter, Ariah Talea July 1 and critics are calling her “fat” for not dropping all the baby weight.
On a recent episode of The Real Ms. Tamera had this to say:
“I’ve got to admit, I felt a little pressure to bounce back to my pre-baby shape.
“When I first came out in the public’s eye after I had my son Aden, I thought I looked great after three months post-partum,” she shared, but not everyone did.
“I was called lazy,” said Tamera, highlighting the worst online reactions. “And they would say things like, ‘Oh my goodness! You can obviously see that the baby weight isn’t gone.”
The 37-year-old continued, “Just recently, after I had my baby girl, a girl said, ‘Ooh, that baby girl made Tamera fat.’”
Magazines showcase women’s dramatic post-body weight loss all over their cover issues.
“What people need to understand is that 90 percent of women” don’t look like that said Mowry Housley, though she did celebrate those who do drop weight easily.
Tamera is not one of them.
“I struggled with it. I compared myself to them and asked myself, ‘What is wrong with me, like, why don’t I look like that? because Hollywood praises that,” she said.
